Sayler’s has been a gathering place for over 75 years.

And there’s a reason for that: friendly service, good, prices, and delicious dinners meant to be enjoyed by family and friends. A place to celebrate the big stuff, the small stuff, and everything in between.

The Stories

JoAnn and Lester. 36 years of Sayler’s celebrations.

When my husband and I went to Sayler’s 36 years ago to celebrate his birthday, I always told him that it would be the last time because as young newlyweds, I didn’t think we could afford such a luxurious dinner! That made me sad but that made my husband even sadder as he loves the meals there. Well, on Monday, April 9th, we will be celebrating his 64th birthday with dinner there with the rest of our family of 8! See you there! After all these years, we have fine tuned what we like to eat. The 16 ounce prime rib and a service plate to share! See you all at 6:30!

Kasie and friends. 32 years of Sayler’s celebrations.

I’ve been coming to Sayler’s with my mom and dad, and now with my hubby and friends, for 30 plus years! I had no idea that Sayler’s had banquet rooms. When one of our waiters told us about them early 2017, I immediately booked my 49th birthday in the big banquet room for November 2017! It was epic, so many of my friends and classmates came out to celebrate what I was calling my “pre 50” birthday party and we even had a theme for the party called “Red Lipstick and Candy” for my celebration. In lieu of gifts, I just asked that everyone bring candy to share with everyone and that they wear something red – it was a blast! We laughed, caught up with each other, ate, drank and were merry for hours. We received the best service and I can’t say enough about the experience. I can’t wait for my 50th – because I know where I’ll be spending it!

Rob, Dunja and children. Four generations of Sayler’s celebrations.

I grew up in Portland and went to Sayler’s off and on as a child/young adult. I joined the Army and retired back to Vancouver 21 years later. It was tough trying to find a job so I decided to use my GI Bill to go to college and get a degree. Last May, I graduated from Washington State University Vancouver with a degree in Human Resources Management. My Dad took us to Sayler’s to celebrate. Included were both of my Grandmothers (age 88 and 94), my parents, sister, wife and 3 year old son. Four generations of the Hunt family celebrating an accomplishment I never thought that I would achieve. I was the first one of any generation to earn their college degree. A memory that I will keep forever.
